Come and join us to discover how the local Ohlone lived and prospered in the Bay Area before freeways, supermarkets, and cell phones! Learn how the Ohlone fished, hunted, and harvested while maintaining a fine balance with their environment. Participants will get to make Ohlone crafts such as a reed boat and duck to take home
About the Instructor: Mario Cuellar
Mario Cuellar has 8+ years of full-time experience in K-12 formal and Informal public programs education in major museums of the Bay Area including The California Academy of Sciences and The Tech Museum of Innovation. Recently he has worked, specifically, in after-school and expanded learning programs. He is also the co-creator of the award winning “Ravenswood City School District Maker Space Initiative" which has since become the framework for all other STEM initiatives in San Mateo County.
