School Services
Our unique approach uses models, participatory games, animal study skins and mounts to actively engage small groups of children in learning about natural science. All EV programs are designed to support current California and national science standards.
For the convenience of teachers that have fieldtrips scheduled with us, we are providing online maps to our fieldtrip sights.
Since 1972, Environmental Volunteers (EV) has been bringing hands-on natural science education into Bay Area classrooms. As a non-profit organization, we depend on volunteers and private donors to continue our mission, helping to bring environmental science into your classroom.
Before applying for a service, we ask that you read and acknowledge our service agreement in order to make the process consistent for all teachers applying for a service.
Our online form will begin accepting requests for services on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at 4 PM.
Since we accept service requests on a first come, first served basis, to be fair to all teachers we have established a consistent starting time for all requests. Since our services are in high demand and fill up quite quickly, we must strongly recommend that you read the information on this web site before April 29th and be prepared to fill our your request as soon after 4 PM on April 29th as you can.
We are using only the online EV Service Request Form. WE DO NOT ACCEPT REQUESTS BY FAX, MAIL OR TELEPHONE.

Three main components determine which requests are accepted:
By June 15th, you will receive confirmation that your request has been accepted, or notice that you have been put on the wait list. Contact Anita Rodriguez if you do not receive this confirmation.
If your service is accepted, approximately four to six weeks before the month of your service, the Lead EV that has volunteered to facilitate your service will call to arrange a specific format, date, and time for your presentation (and field trip, if applicable). Please keep a record of the Lead EV's name and phone number in case you need to contact them again.
