Now middle school students can EXPLORE! the natural world too, through fun activities and exciting field trips geared toward this older age group.

SESSION INFO:
Session One: June 23-27 FULL
Living in California: What Makes Our Area Unique?
Daily themes will include Shake it Up! (earthquakes and local geology), Sharing our Home (getting to know Bay Area creatures), The Dark Side (nocturnal creatures and the night sky), Ecosystem Explorations, and more.
Session Two: June 30-July 3 SPACE IS STILL AVAILABLE June 30, July 1, July 2 (July 3 is full)
Day Trippers: Daily Natural Science Field Trips
Each day a different field trip to explore and enjoy.
Sign up for 1 to 4 days of fun nature activities and field trips during this holiday week.
Session Three: July 7-11 SPACE IS STILL AVAILABLE
Energy & Natural Resources
Topics will include Wind, Water, & Sun: Exploring Renewable Energy; The Three R's: Reduce/Reuse/Recycle; and more.
TIMES:
9 AM to 4 PM daily; extended care available from 8-9 AM and 4-5 PM
LOCATION:
Our home base will be Keys School in Palo Alto
SESSION FEES:
June 23-27 & July 7-11
$330/week ($310/week if registered before April 1)
Extended Day: 8-9 AM and 4-5 PM daily $40 per week
June 30-July 3 Day Trippers
$110/day or $400/week
Extended Day: 8-9 AM and 4-5 PM daily $10 per day

Session One: July 7-11 SPACE IS STILL AVAILABLE
EXPLORE! Energy on the Move
A week of exploring renewable energy, natural resources and sustainability: Wind farms, solar arrays, and water power. During the week teams will construct a vehicle made completely of recycled objects and will be tasked with powering it with a renewable energy source. The week will culminate in The Great Recycled Vehicle Alternative Energy Race: a BBQ, parents cheering the teams on, and an exciting display of ‘Energy on the Move’.
Session Two: July 14-18 FULL
EXPLORE! Bay, Sea & Slough
Explorers will embark daily on exciting field trips which may include Kayaking Elkhorn Slough, Performing Scientific Research on a Marine Science Research Boat , Whale Watching, Visiting the Bay Model in Sausalito, Participating in a shoreline restoration on San Francisco Bay, and Tidepooling.
TIMES:
9 AM to 4 PM daily; extended day available from 8-9 AM and 4-5 PM
