Water Science and Conservation
The components of water and how they change into a liquid, gas or solid state make water the wonder chemical. Human uses of water to maintain life, grow food and produce goods must be carefully balanced to keep the environment viable.
Students will learn how a drop of water cycles from air, to ground, to living things and back. They will learn ways to conserve the water they use and how California has done the same throughout its history. Our program details the water cycle, pollution, water chemistry, and wise ways to use water as well as the importance of water to all life.
The program is available for grades 1 and up. The selection of learning stations will focus the program to the appropriate age group.
