10/5 – Ocean Exploration – Livestream and Interview

10:00 am to 11:30 am

Come to the Ecocenter for a unique view of deep-sea exploration. The exploration vessel Nautilus is exploring the deep waters of the Pacific Ocean, and will be right off the coast of the San Francisco Bay on the 5th! Join us to view live-streamed footage from their remotely operated vehicles on the ocean floor, and for the exclusive opportunity for a real-time interview with the scientists aboard the vessel. Anyone can ask questions – this is your chance to learn more about ocean exploration from the explorers themselves!

The first hour (10 to 11 am) will be a showing of live-streamed footage from the vessel, shown on the large screened TV at the EcoCenter. From 11:00 to 11:30 am, we will host the Q and A interview. Questions will be open to anyone, but depending on how many attend the program, we may be limited in how many questions we can ask. Before the interview, we will record on paper questions you want asked. Get here early to make sure your questions are heard!

This program also takes place during Bay Day (hosted by Save the Bay). After the program is concluded, please feel free to participate in the other activities happening at the Baylands! More info can be found here: https://www.bayday.org/restfest/
