5/18: Bird eggs of the Bay Area – Scavenger Hunt

Saturday, May 18, 2019, 10:30 – 12:30 pm

The Environmental Volunteers are hosting a family scavenger hunt around the baylands preserve! Join us and enjoy the outdoors, while learning about the birds of the bay area! Win some prizes too!

Find the eggs!

The hunt is on for hidden informational placards about different bay area birds (and their eggs!), hidden in areas where these birds would nest. Find all the placards, and win a prize! Each placard will have some quick facts about each bird. Take an optional quiz at the end to win a bonus prize. Finally, a special baylands denizen will be on a well hidden placard – the salt marsh harvest mouse! First group to find this bonus placard will win a special prize. Intended for children, adult supervision required.

Event will be outdoors so dress accordingly. Snacks and Water will be available at the EcoCenter during the event, however bringing your own is also encouraged. The event is drop in (no RVSP required) and you can leave at any time, though everyone should check back to the EcoCenter by 12:30.

This event WILL be held in light rain. You are encouraged to still come if it rains, just dress accordingly. Since it is drop in, you can also leave early or come late based on weather. The event will still begin at 10:30 and end at 12:30.
