Thank you for your interest in serving with us! Volunteering for the Environmental Volunteers is a great way to develop team-building skills, camaraderie, and have fun! Spend a couple of hours or an entire day making a difference in our community.
Baylands Beautification (outdoors)
Corporate volunteer groups can help keep the landscape beautiful and habitable for the incredible diversity of wildlife in the Baylands! Volunteers remove invasive plants, mulch soil, care for native plants, and landscape around the Environmental Volunteers’ EcoCenter in the Palo Alto Baylands Nature Preserve.
Volunteers should dress appropriately for gardening outdoors. The Baylands can be windy and cool, so dressing in layers is recommended. Gloves and gardening tools will be provided.
School Programs Teaching Kit Repair (indoors)
Corporate volunteers can support our education efforts by helping to repair teaching materials utilized in more than 400 school programs every year. To keep our curriculum in tip-top shape, corporate volunteers check the contents of each teaching kit, replace used items, and swap older components with updated ones. In the process, volunteers get to learn about environmental education curriculum that inspires 10,000 local students each year. This opportunity can be completed inside the EcoCenter or our Santa Clara office (seated or standing).
We provide groups with the option to participate in both indoor and outdoor activities based on interest and availability.
