A special brunch to celebrate our work and our community!
On April 17th, we gathered together for our Wake Up To Nature 2021 fundraiser event, a unique virtual brunch to witness some of the amazing things that happened this year. Thank you to everyone who attended and made this event a very exceptional one, and a special thank you to our table hosts and Alison Takata.
We are immensely grateful for your continued support. Thanks to you we will continue to ensure science and nature education are accessible to all.
Our Impact 2020-2021
Watch testimonies from students, teachers, and parents about connecting with nature in a Covid-19 world, and learn how Environmental Volunteers has continued to inspire learning, awe, and joy.
Our impact in the classrooms
Donna Hamane, 1st grade teacher at George Mayne Elementary school in Alviso, tells us how our school programs have helped her students this year.
Your support will ensure that the EV can continue to provide nature programs and science education to 8,500 school children each year.
A little bit of poetry…
Maya Xu joined the EV a couple of years ago as one of our docents. Her love of nature and literature inspired her to organize a Nature Poetry Workshop to introduce poetry to elementary school students and to encourage them to better understand and advocate for nature.
Thank you Maya for sharing one of your favorite poems with all of us!
